What makes this address more interesting is what was here before. A photo remembered from a Paul Bunyan parade showed a Shell station on this corner before the car wash years. That fits with later environmental records for 500 North Main Street, which identify the property as a former service-station site and note that three abandoned underground storage tanks tied to that earlier use were found there in 2009.

People remembered washing rigs there after Sherwood trips, getting the mud off after a run out in the woods, and the small-town humor that came with it.
